It was time to live it all again...

Time to open the box of pictures and news clippings. Time to gather with friends and family, to hug and to hold one another as we revist September 11th, 2001. For many, the nerves are still raw, the hearts still ache. Our eyes pour forth with tears, some for people we remember, some for those we never knew. We cry for those who were taken that day, we cry for those who miss them.

So many tears...

And then, our spirits are filled with a new hope; The hope for a day when we will never witness this magnitude of wickedness inflicted upon anyone ever again. We take military and other security measures to protect us. We raise our awareness levels. We take more care, we watch others more closely. We wait...bracing ourselves, hoping we've done enough.

We ask ourselves: What will become of our nation and our world? Will our children and their children be safer tomorrow than we are today? Will we always have to live with increasing dread and worry? Will good always triumph over evil?

So many questions...

The sad truth is this: The world is full of Satan's influences, and Satan is full of hatred. Those who follow him will bring acts of unspeakable, wretched, and catastrophic proportions. For those whose visions are only "worldly," there is little or no comfort. Each day will likely hold the same concerns, and the flame of hope is doused by the threat of new and impending dangers.

But for the Godly faithful, the outlook is much brighter. We trust in God's amazing love and His unmatched power. He is in control even when it doesn't appear so to us. His plans are unknown to mankind; even His followers don't know everything. Nevertheless, we trust in His guidance and His promises.

What He has told us is this: Good will always triumph over evil. God has given us the victory in Christ Jesus. And, on a day of the Father's choosing, He will call His church up to eternal glory as He completely and forever obliterates all atrocities in the heavens and on earth!

Then, and only then, there will be no more sorrow, no more fears, no more threats of any kind. Evil and all of its perpetrators will be destroyed forever more! And so, for now, we wait; we simply take heart. Our comfort rests in the knowledge that the fullness of a Godly victory is drawing ever closer. And what a victory it will be...

May God keep and bless all people who seek Him!
